The USDA Forest Services has tasked the GeomorphIS/Tanner Environmental Services team to conduct 2020 northern spotted owl (Strix occidentalis caurina) and barred owl (Strix varia) surveys on the Mendocino National Forest (MNF). This survey will facilitate the implementation of the MNF Land and Resource Management Plan by identifying owl locations and Activity Center statuses.  The results will assist land managers in managing the resources within the Grindstone and Covelo Ranger Districts. The task order was issued under GeomorphIS’ USFS R5 professional services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
