USBR Awards GeomorphIS Task to Conduct Botanical Surveys in Wyoming

The US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation (USBR or ‘Reclamation’), has issued a GeomorphIS-Elliott Environmental Consulting team a task order to conduct botanical surveys on USBR Wyoming Area Office (WYAO) lands. The objective of the project is to identify and locate noxious and invasive weeds within priority areas of the WYAO. Data collected for this project will allow Reclamation to meet GPRA reporting standards as well be used to prioritize weed treatments areas and prescribe management options to reduce weeds and restore native plants in order to improve habitat/rangeland for wildlife, reduce fire occurrence, increase plant diversity, enhance stream and riparian corridors, and provide a diverse array of benefits to the public.
